They all have a breathtaking view over the volcano and a fantastic sunset. Just spend some time wondering in their streets and you will discover some fantastic little churches, small white houses, traditional stores, all hidden in the narrow streets.
The islet of Nea Kameni. It is a nice experience to walk on the crater of a volcano. The landscape is lunar and the spot offers a really beautiful view of the mainland.
The Church of Panagia Episkopi is an old Byzantine church located in the village of Mesa Gonia. The church is decorated by beautiful wall paintings dating from 1100 AC.
The Archaeological Museum. The museum is situated in Santorini's capital, Fira and houses, among many others beautiful things, a collection of sculptures from the Helenistic and Roman Period.
The Red Beach is called that way because it is composed of volcanic red and black rocks. It is a beautiful beach situated near the village of Akrotiri.
The excavations of Akrotiri. It is the most important archaeological site in Santorini. It is really impressive to discover the remains of the 5000 years old Minoan civilization, who was able to create some fine art and raise beautiful buildings.
